Massaman Curry

In the KONKRUA family, Massaman Curry is a classic lady. With its beautiful color, exotic scent and intense flavour, Massaman Curry has an elegant personality, which is why it was named the World's Tastiest Food of 2021 by CNN.

Our Massaman paste gives the meat, potatoes and carrots a unique aroma. Although the curry has a strong taste, it is not characterised by its spiciness but by its mild, creamy and sweet character. The classic lady among curries impresses with its exotic touch, which is emphasised even more by our pre-portioned fish sauce and palm sugar.

Kaeng Massaman originally comes from southern Thailand. King Phra Phutthaloetla (Rama II) was so impressed by this dish that he wrote a poem about it, more specifically about the chef who cooked this curry. Every Thai child knows this poem and already memorises it in elementary school!

The Massaman curry has long been established in Thai food culture and even served as the inspiration for the king's poem. Now it's time for the dear foreigners to fall in love with this unique dish!

Our tip: Massaman curry also goes perfectly well with spaghetti or bread! 

Thai omelet or steamed eggs are often eaten with it. You can keep leftovers in the fridge and enjoy them the next day. Just warm it up before eating.
